What To Do When You Can’t Stop The Anxious Thoughts About Potentially Peeing Your Pants
HI FRIEND,
In this episode we talk about anxiety around peeing your pants. Anxiety is a physiological response that can increase your likelihood of bladder leakage because of the “tightening of everything” response that happens in the body when we are in a heightened state. I share a story about my journey with urge incontinence and my triggers when it came to having bladder leakage. I go over tips in the episode on what to do when you have the bladder urge to go to the bathroom, but you aren’t near one! The best thing we can do is keep our bodies in a relaxed state. This can seem impossible when all that is on your mind is the fact that you aren’t near a bathroom.
Try These Tips:
Pray
Repeat encouraging mantras like “I will hold my bladder”, and “I am doing it right now!”
Counting backwards from 100 by 7’s
Read the street signs you see out loud if you’re driving
Sing a song/ alphabet backwards
Call a friend and ask them about their day
Vagal Nerve Stimulation, diaphragmatic breathing
massaging the vagus nerve behind the ear
full body meditation with intention to other parts of your body

Of course, this is a helpful band-aid for the problem of urge incontinence. I would love to invite you to my course Stop Peeing Your Pants , where you can get rid of this problem all together, and become leak-free in 90 days or less! We really shouldn’t have an issue with holding our bladder and there is always a deeper cause. For example, when I was dealing with urge incontinence, my root cause was the food/drinks that were in my diet because there were so many bladder irritants I was consuming. I lead you through all of this, the education, workouts, and have a plan on a calendar, a 1:1 session with me, private facebook group for Q & A’s! Check out both tier options below!
