FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
R3 was built on the 3 R’s (restore, renew, regain) and inspired by busy women that don’t have the time to go to a clinic and would prefer to have a customized, high quality experience that is both comfortable and convenient. I want to make your life easier! Wouldn’t you rather spend the extra time with your kids, your own clients, or doing some self-care instead of commuting to a PT clinic?
If you have questions about what I do, read through the frequently asked questions below. Still don’t see the answer you’re looking for? Book a free call!

I have a few! To start, I am an Orthopedic Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist.
I treat pelvic floor concerns by addressing all of the musculature of the pelvis externally. You can do so much for your pelvic health by addressing things like your gluts, breath, core, hips, and simply being educated about bowel and bladder habits! Did you know you can reach the outer pelvic floor muscle layers from the outside? There are also tools such as a pelvic wand that I often recommend for internal work options, that way you are in control and can self-explore your pelvic floor in the comfort and privacy of your home.
I love helping women with postpartum recovery including after a c-section, returning to exercise as well as throughout their pregnancy with birth prep, pains & exercising.
I also have taken a specialty course for Tummy Tuck/Mommy Makeover rehab and love guiding women through this journey and making it so much more comfortable for them!
I am also certified in myofascial cupping therapy and also offer that as an ala carte wellness service.

No, I am considered out of network with all insurances. However, I do write superbills- this would work if you have out of network benefits for PT and will still go towards your deductible!
I believe it is in your best interest to pay cash for PT and have no restrictions on the plan of care that WE create, what we do during treatment sessions, and the number of visits you may need/want.
It is SO often that my patients will be seeing me for their knee or low back, but one day have a flare up at their neck or maybe their shoulder-and because I am cash pay, I CAN help them right then and there with that problem, because I am always treating the whole body. If insurance was in the picture, I wouldn’t be able to help you with that neck/shoulder flare up because insurance wouldn’t cover it. See how that would not be in your favor? That’s just one example!

I accept FSA, HSA, cash, checks, card, apple pay.
I create custom plans of care following the eval, my average number of treatment sessions are 4-6 total.
Payments for treatments are billed automatically in monthly installments.
-
Being cash-pay is in your best interest as a patient. It allows us to look at the whole body, not just 1 joint, because if you didn’t know, insurance companies require a separate eval/plan of care for each concern, joint by joint.
For example, if you had hip pain, that would have to be a separate plan of care from say, your back pain! Crazy, right?!
Your concerns could be very related, but in insurance’s eyes, it’s not. If I was to start doing treatment for your back on your “hip plan of care”, reimbursement may not be given.
By paying cash, I am free to treat you holistically and address all of your concerns on OUR terms.
Who are they to tell us how many visits you need? Insurance typically only reimburses services until you are near or at your baseline- wouldn’t you want to EXCEED your baseline?
If you were to go to a clinic that takes insurance, you would still be paying cash until your ($5,000?) deductible was met.

Before the initial evaluation, you will book a 20 minute discovery video call with me using my to ensure that we are a great fit and that I am the best provider to help you reach your goals!
You will gain a better understanding of the services I offer and how my practice is different from what you have probably experienced at a PT clinic before.
If I recommend my services and you are ready and committed to changing your life, I can schedule you for an initial evaluation!

Wellness services are for women that are looking for guidance or support in their health and wellness journey.
Some examples include: a wellness consult zoom call regarding pregnancy or postpartum questions, activity modifications, or specific exercises, a video series for strategies both during pregnancy and postpartum. These services are for those that reside outside of Arizona.
Additionally, to residents in the North Peoria, AZ area, I offer myofascial cupping, and k-taping!

I treat about half and half with exercise and manual therapy techniques, but of course it depends on your needs.
Sometimes there are sessions where we are working through scar tissue on the table for a while, and other times where I don’t even set my treatment table up because we’re exercising the whole time!
If we do use manual techniques, I’ll start the session with them, such as cupping therapy, lymphatic drainage massage, joint mobilization work, and then follow it up with exercise so we can solidify the gains we just made through the manual therapy that is otherwise temporary.
I perform manipulations to the spine and extremities. You can read in depth about treatments here

It is required that you pay for the services you receive to R3 Mobile PT upfront and then upon request I can create a bill with codes for you to submit to your insurance company.
Unfortunately, I have no control over and can’t guarantee what services they reimburse, if any.
Reach out to your insurance company if you’re interested in this to see what would likely be covered with your plan prior to your session so there are no surprises from insurance! I will not alter any documentation for insurance purposes.
-
Yes! I can provide a receipt of your purchase upon request.

I travel the Phoenix Valley.
There is a travel fee for those outside of my free, 20 mile radius, which usually goes from State Farm Stadium to North Peoria/Vistancia, to Desert Ridge.
I will be able to quote you on the discovery call when you input your address.
-
You do not have to have a home gym, as long as you have some sort of open space in your living room, backyard, garage, office- that’ll do!
I bring a portable treatment table and exercise equipment! We also spend time in conversation which we can do at your kitchen table or couch!
-
I took a specialty course for post tummy tuck rehab because NO ONE talks about how major of a recovery and surgery it is and I wanted to understand the surgery, complications, and what the recovery process should look like for best results and outcomes!
Recovery looks different for everyone, but you have a brand new core and it’s one of my favorite things to help women connect with again.
Schedule a call with me to talk through what rehab may look like for your specific case!
-
Fortunately, no! AZ is a “direct access state” Yay!
Super easy. BUT, if you plan to submit self-claims to your insurance company, they MAY require it, so reach out to your insurance provider to clarify prior to submitting for reimbursement.
-
I generally say whatever you would be comfortable working out at the gym in, or going to a pilates class! For example, leggings and a tank top or shorts and a t-shirt. You’ll also likely be barefoot.
-
You do not have to be in any stage of motherhood to work with me, I love treating general orthopedic concerns a gal may have!
I have just found a special interest for those in their motherhood journey!
I will see men if the wife is present during the session.
I would love to set up a free discovery video call with you to make sure you are appropriate for PT services, and confirm I am the best provider for you!
-
Depending on your past medical history, commitment to following through with our plan of care, current activity level, seeing change may take anywhere from 4-6 visits.
However, there are other cases, where you may only need a check-in, or 2-4 visits to address your concerns.
Duration of your plan of care is something I am able to gauge and communicate with you after an initial evaluation and after we establish your goals!
-
I can absolutely do that if you provide me with their contact information and written consent! I am all for a multi-disciplinary approach!
